Our specialism is helping people who are living with Parkinson’s Disease, together with their loved ones.

History:

Sarah Edwards grew up in Herefordshire and read BSc Hons Physiotherapy in Sheffield, graduating in 1997.

She worked initially in Sheffield Teaching Hospitals alongside renowned Consultant Physiotherapist Dr Bhanu Ramaswamy OBE.  After returning to Hereford she took a long-term position with Hereford County Hospital’s multi-disciplinary team where she provided Physiotherapy mainly in the Neuro-Outpatients department.  Within a wide and varied caseload, she ran self-management Parkinson’s Programmes and provided individual physiotherapy treatments.

Sarah now works privately throughout Herefordshire.

 

Qualifications and Credentials:

  • Fully qualified Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP website ).
  • Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • A member of Parkinson’s UK, the largest Parkinson’s research and support charity in the United Kingdom
  • A member of the West Midlands Parkinson’s Excellence Network
  • A member of the specialist body ‘Association of Chartered Physiotherapists Interested in Neurology’

 

Continuing Professional Development:

Sarah attends various training events throughout the year to keep abreast of current topical issues, changing guidance and regulations together with emerging evidence and treatment methods.
